Contract Term Calculator
Longer terms lower the monthly price but lock you in. Type the monthly price of the same server on each term from the provider's order page (the page shows all three) and see which option wins for how long you'll actually keep it. Prices change often, so this tool asks for yours instead of guessing.
How it's calculated
- You pay for whole terms. Leaving in month 13 of a 12-month term means paying for a second term, so the table counts that.
- A voucher takes the free months off once, at the price of the term you picked. Codes differ in what they cover, so check the voucher page and the redeeming guide.
- It ignores future price changes, and netcup's terms and refund rules can differ for your plan. Treat it as a guide and confirm on the order page.
When a long term is a bad idea
If you're not sure the server is big enough, start monthly or on 12 months. Moving up a size mid-term is more awkward than paying a bit more per month for a few weeks. Size it first with the VPS size calculator or the VPS or root server quiz.
